Time to apply for mobility support for 2012!The application round for support from the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public Administration in 2012 is open! The last day to submit your applications is 30 March 2012. All civil servants and other public sector staff in NB8 countries – Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden – are welcome to apply for financial support to carry out study visits, internships, training and network activities in the region. Here are some results from 2011:- Total annual budget of support programme: app. €280,000 The steering group characterized the programme positively, with the mid-term evaluation report stating: "Its smartness stems from its bottom-up approach, its openness and flexibility and its capacity to act as a catalyst for civil servants' endeavours to enrich their everyday work by looking abroad, towards the Baltic Sea region as a whole." What's new in 2012?Associations of local governments are now also welcome to apply for support! The aim of this adjustment is to broaden the target group of potential applicants and to enforce closer cooperation at the local and regional levels between the NB8 countries. How to applyFirst, carefully read the guidelines and all of the information at www.norden.ee. Then start filling in your application in good time at www.nb8grants.org. You don't have to complete and send your application straight away: you can provide the required information and edit it step by step until the deadline.
